Researcher Lynne McTaggart returned to report on the on-going results of global mind-over-matter experiments (theintentionexperiment.com) that she has sponsored. Because of the way subatomic structures function, the world is not as fixed or final as it might seem, and living things are subject to influence from the power of thoughts, she explained.
Successful experiments have been conducted both with in-person groups and over the Internet. In one intention experiment, a group of people were asked to send thoughts for a barley seed to grow faster, and the results showed the seed sprouted and grew faster than control seeds. The experiment was repeated in New York with a group of healers and yielded even more dramatic results, she said. This led McTaggart to conclude that experience mattered more than the quantity of participants, with the degree of mental focus being an important factor.
Interestingly, she suggested that negative intention, such as using thought to destroy microorganisms, can work just as powerfully as positive intention. Elite athletes often practice a kind of intention with “mental rehearsals” — according to research, this may be an effective form of training because the brain doesn’t distinguish between action and thought, she detailed. Upcoming experiments (the next one will be on March 29th) are planned to make polluted water cleaner, and to reduce crime in a specific area, she noted.

In Sikhism, the practices of simran and N?m Jap? encourage quiet meditation. This is focusing one’s attention on the attributes of God. Sikhs believe that there are 10 ‘gates’ to the body; ‘gates’ is another word for ‘chakras’ or energy centres. The top most energy level is the called the tenth gate or dasam dwar. It is said[attribution needed] that when one reaches this stage through continuous practice meditation becomes a habit that continues whilst walking, talking, eating, awake and even sleeping. There is a distinct taste or flavour when a meditator reaches this lofty stage of meditation, as one experiences absolute peace and tranquility inside and outside the body.
Followers of the Sikh religion also believe that love comes through meditation on the lord’s name since meditation only conjures up positive emotions in oneself which are portrayed through our actions. The first Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev Ji preached the equality of all humankind and stressed the importance of living a householder’s life instead of wandering around jungles meditating, the latter of which being a popular practice at the time. The Guru preached that we can obtain liberation from life and death by living a totally normal family life and by spreading love amongst every human being regardless of religion.
Taoism includes a number of meditative and contemplative traditions. Originally said to have their principles described in the I Ching, Tao Te Ching, Chuang Tzu and Tao Tsang among other texts; the multitude of schools relating to Qigong, Neigong, Daoyin and Zhan zhuang are a large, diverse array of breath training practises in aid of meditation with much influence from later Chinese Buddhism and with much influence on traditional Chinese medicine and the Chinese as well as some Japanese martial arts. The Chinese martial art T’ai Chi Ch’uan is named after the well-known focus for Taoist and Neo-Confucian meditation, the T’ai Chi T’u, and is often referred to as “meditation in motion”.
Often Taoist Internal martial arts, especially Tai Chi Chuan are thought of as moving meditation. A common phrase being, “movement in stillness” referring to energetic movement in passive Qigong and seated Taoist meditation; with the converse being “stillness in movement”, a state of mental calm and meditation in the tai chi form.

Scientist and innovator Fred Bell spoke about his recent work on how an “evil” emergence and one-world government has manipulated the population via mind control and other methods. We’ve seen
attacks on the banking and education systems, as well as decreases in mental health and moral values, he said. The big pharmaceutical companies push certain vaccines and antidepressants, some of
which contain ingredients that “basically put your brain into a coma and regress you back in consciousness and turn you into an animal,” he asserted.
The big picture is the One World Order eventually wants to eliminate 80% of the population yet there’s an internal breakdown occurring in their ranks, with many of their family members becoming
dysfunctional, Bell continued. He outlined a number of current mind control and surveillance techniques, like the “radar flashlight” which “checks electromagnetic activity of speech control in
the vocal chords,” as a kind of intensive data mining. There’s also “keyhole satellites” that can beam “emotion signature clusters” at people to change their psychological state.
In the the 1980s and 90s, the CIA and its MK Ultra program developed a program to make people think they were having an alien abduction, and inserted implants in them to control them, Bell
reported. But now, nanotechnology has enabled them to create implants the size of a grain of salt, and some of them have been placed in flu vaccines, he claimed.

Appearing during all four hours of the show, author and researcher Lynne McTaggart reported on the ongoing results of various mind-over-matter/intention experiments that she’s helped organize and conduct. In an experiment developed by Dr. Gary Schwartz, an audience was able to increase the biophoton emissions of a leaf, by imagining the leaf glowing. The results, which showed a significant difference between the target leaf and a control leaf, have now been successfully replicated six times, she said.
McTaggart also reported on her first Peace Intention Experiment, which sought to demonstrate that thoughts can be used to change the world. The troubled country of Sri Lanka was chosen as a target to see if violence could be reduced there by having thousands of people send their intention for peace, at the same time for 10 minutes on eight successive days. Among the team evaluating the results were Dr. Robert Jahn, formerly of the PEAR Lab, and Dr. Jessica Utts, a professor of statistics. Curiously, violence in Sri Lanka quadrupled during the week of the experiment, but in the weeks afterward, violence decreased by 75%, and the whole course of the civil war there was changed for the better, she said. The reason intention and mind-over-matter processes work relates to the subatomic underpinnings of our being, and all matter– on this level we’re all connected, and can access the farthest reaches of the cosmos, she suggested. McTaggart is planning a Clean Water Experiment, on September 19, 2009 to help clean up polluted water, and people from around the world are welcome to participate. She is also working on setting up an experiment to lower temperature within a terrarium or biosphere-like environment.
